Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 30, 2026 Last updated: March 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how True North Content (“True North,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and safeguards personal information when you visit mytruenorth.co or any other website that links to this policy (the “Site”), and when you otherwise interact with us. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site.

Who we are and scope

True North Content, LLC, acts as the controller of personal information processed in connection with the Site. Our contact email is privacy@mytruenorth.co. This policy applies to visitors and users of the Site, including users of our web forms, newsletters and support channels. It does not cover third‑party websites or services that we link to, and you should review the privacy practices of those third parties before providing information to them.

Information we collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, for example when you submit a form or communicate with us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, company, job title, the content of your messages, any files you upload and your marketing preferences. If we later offer user accounts, we will collect credentials such as a username and password, which we store in hashed form. Please do not submit sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, financial account information or health data unless we specifically request it. We also collect certain information automatically when you use the Site. This includes device and usage data such as Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, session length, timestamps and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to enable core features and to understand how the Site is used. Additional information may be received from third parties, including service providers that support our analytics, email delivery, customer support and hosting; public sources or social media if you interact with our pages or campaigns; and business partners who introduce you to us.

How we use information and our legal bases

We use personal information to operate and provide the Site and related services, to respond to your inquiries and requests, to personalize your experience, to analyze and improve the Site and our content, to send marketing communications where we have your consent or where permitted by law, to protect the Site and prevent fraud or abuse, to enforce our terms, and to comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests. For users in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, our processing is typically based on the necessity to perform a contract or take steps at your request, our legitimate interests such as site security and improvement (balanced against your rights and expectations), your consent for certain activities including non‑essential cookies and direct marketing, and our need to comply with legal obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, for measuring performance and understanding usage, and, if applicable, for tailoring content or advertising. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where required in your region, through a consent banner that appears on the Site. If your browser sends a valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) or similar universal opt‑out signal, we will treat that signal as a request to opt out of any processing that applicable law defines as a “sale,” “sharing” or targeted advertising for that browser.

How we share information

We share personal information with service providers that perform services on our behalf, including hosting, security, analytics, email or SMS delivery, customer relationship management and customer support. These providers are required to protect the information they process and to use it only for the services we request. We may also share information with our professional advisors such as lawyers and auditors under appropriate confidentiality obligations, and in connection with corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, financings or sales of assets, in which case we will take steps to continue protecting your information. We may disclose information to comply with laws, legal processes and governmental requests; to enforce our terms; and to protect the rights, property and safety of True North Content, our users and others. We do not sell personal information for money.

Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including meeting legal, accounting or reporting requirements. As a general guide, we may retain contact and inquiry records for up to 24 months after our last interaction, maintain marketing preference records until you unsubscribe and then keep a minimal suppression record so we can honor your choice, and store web analytics logs for approximately 12 to 24 months, depending on our tools. When retention periods expire, we will delete or de‑identify the information within a reasonable time.

Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit and least‑privilege practices. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and you should use the Site with this in mind. If we learn of unauthorized access to personal information, we will investigate and, where required by law, notify affected individuals and regulators.

International data transfers

If you access the Site from outside the country where our servers or service providers are located, your information may be transferred to and processed in other jurisdictions, including the United States. Where required for transfers from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and appropriate supplementary measures.

Your rights and choices

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our messages or by contacting us at privacy@mytruenorth.co. We may still send you non‑marketing communications such as service or transactional notices. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and any consent tools provided on the Site, and we honor GPC or similar universal opt‑out signals where the law requires. If you are located in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you may have the right to request access to your personal information, to correct inaccuracies, to delete information, to restrict or object to processing including processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing, to request data portability and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at privacy@mytruenorth.co and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Residents of certain U.S. states such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and Oregon may have rights to know and access categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, to delete personal information, to correct inaccuracies, to opt out of the “sale,” “sharing” or use of personal information for targeted advertising, to request portability, to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information where applicable, and to appeal our decision if we deny a request. You may submit a request by emailing privacy@mytruenorth.co. We will verify your identity using reasonable methods such as email confirmation or other appropriate steps, and authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf where permitted by law if they provide proof of authorization. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals because there is no industry standard for such responses, but we do honor GPC and similar universal opt‑out signals as described above.

Third‑party links and services

The Site may contain links to third‑party websites, services and integrations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and you should review their policies before providing personal information to them.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not intended for children under the age of 13, or under 16 in certain jurisdictions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and, where required by law, provide additional notice.
